June is LGBTQIA+ Pride Month and residents can check out Siouxland Pride Alliance's Pride Parade, taking place on Fourth Street from Iowa to Nebraska Streets at 6 p.m. Thursday. Keep the energy going when Siouxland Pride Alliance hosts family-friendly Sioux City Pride Festival from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Saturday in front of the Sioux City Public Museum, 607 Fourth St. Don't forget your free lunch. SUX Pride will be holding court at the Sioux City Convention Center, 801 Fourth St., beginning with Daytime Pride (Zumba, Kids Zone and International Film Festival showings) at 10 a.m. Saturday. Evening Pride (scenes from the Sioux City Community Theatre's "The Normal Heart," presentation of the Joel Hurtado Awards and Cole McClure Braveheart Award and an all-star drag show) begins after 4 p.m. Saturday.
