This old girl (clubhouse and shop) at Hidden Valley is being demolished in the next week or two and a new one being built starting soon. She has seen her better days. She was built in 1988 and many memories were made there. The third and fourth generation of Reiters working there are excited to make new memories!

This week on the GPS Tour, we played the Season Finale at Lakeview G.C. in Mitchell, sponsored by First Dakota National Bank. It was an exciting day, not only for the competitive atmosphere on the course but also for the special celebration as we welcomed Mike Paulson and Joe Bjorkman of Vermillion into the GPS Hall of Fame. Their support of the tour and contributions to the golf community have been immense, and it was a privilege to honor them. We lost one of the local golf greats. 🙏

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend, Gary Kristensen — a man whose kindness, warmth, and dedication touched everyone at Fish Lake. Gary was always lending a hand, giving his time, and putting his heart into keeping the course running and making this place better for all. He will be deeply missed.

To allow our staff to attend Gary’s funeral, the clubhouse will be closed in the morning and will open at 3:00 PM tomorrow, Wednesday, September 17th.

Gary’s family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to Fish Lake Golf Course or Wild Oak Golf Course in his name.

Fish Lake won’t be the same without Gary, but his spirit and the impact he had here will live on for years to come. Our thoughts and prayers are with Janice, their family, and all who loved him.
