For the last 271 days, Quill’s life has been a cycle of inconsistency. Staff and fosters have done everything possible to give him stability, but the stress of not knowing is taking its toll. Quill needs to be adopted NOW.
Many of Quill’s behaviors come from fear, not defiance. He hasn’t had the stability of a person he can always trust, and the constant moving—from place to place, foster to shelter—has made new people and environments overwhelming. Sudden changes and crowded spaces can be hard, but with patience, predictability, and respect for his space, Quill begins to relax and show who he really is. He is a very respectful dog, he just needs people to respect him in return.
Quill is a small bundle with a huge personality! He’s playful, with the goofiest grin. He loves chasing balls, bringing them back, dropping them at your feet, and backing up patiently to do it all over again. When the day winds down, he’s the ultimate snuggle buddy, ready to curl up and share all the love he’s been saving.
