The Sister Bay Historical Society has announced that the stars and director of the new movie “A Cherry Pie Christmas” will sign film posters at Christkindlmarkt on Saturday, December 13 from 1:00-2:30 pm as a fundraiser for the Society. The suggested donation for a signed 8.5×11 in. or 11×17 in. poster is $20. The movie’s locations included Corner of the Past Museum in Sister Bay, where Christkindlmarkt is currently taking place.

The Sister Bay Historical Society has announced the dates for its 5th Annual Christkindlmarkt, or Christmas market. Christkindlmarkt will take place on three weekends in November and December, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. This year’s dates are Nov. 28–30, Dec. 5–7, and Dec. 12–14.

The Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) is asking for the public’s help in wake of unprecedented intake of animals, especially surrendered cats in recent days. On Friday alone, 121 cats and kittens came in as surrenders or strays across their locations. An unexpected surrender of 47 cats and kittens from a single home on Friday night at the WHS Milwaukee Campus resulted in the need to set up emergency housing in office spaces.
