So excited that I got to meet and pick up their book! Back when I worked for a big staffing firm, I served as co-chair on the Pride+ employee resource group. I'd been following Dr. Jon Paul on LinkedIn and jumped at the opportunity to hire them for our Pride speaker event. That company, after signing the contract, later decided that the proud boys voices needed to be heard and that we needed a "safer" choice. I was absolutely livid at this decision, and oh, they fired me a month later. 👀
That's all to say this experience of watching Dr. Jon Paul's journey and supporting them from afar has come full circle.. to be able to meet them in Wichita and hear them speak on their lived experiences was amazing. THANK YOU for being you, out loud, and sharing your journey so that others can feel empowered in being their authentic selves. 🫶👏👏
