The ‘wake up squad’ from Wonder World were at Rupp Park on Tuesday to help wake up Gunnar, the ground hog. Kim Konkol, official custodian, placed him by the tree and the children, complete with noise makers, were charged with waking him up. The Slayton Park Improvement Coalition recently began a campaign to raise funds needed to make improvements at Rupp Park. With so many children neighboring the area, the park is in need of a facelift including new equipment.
And the mcc boys are off. Cole Ahlers is first off the tee box on this beautiful, sunny afternoon. Temps have reached 77 degrees. Abby Hamman currently holds 6th place overall with her 1st nine holes tallied at 44. The girls team remains in sixth place as well
