Congratulations to our forever Storyteller, John Case ❤️❤️❤️

This year’s 18th annual President’s Arts Award for Literary Artist goes to John Case

John, raised in rural south Mississippi in the 1950s and 60s, found inspiration in the stories shared by guests at his home. He has been retelling those tales for over thirteen years in Slidell Magazine’s popular segment, The Storyteller. A graduate of the University of Mississippi, he co-owns the oldest insurance agency in Slidell while also publishing short stories and writing for various publications. Active in his community, John has served as Chairman of the East St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce and is an Elder in the Presbyterian Church. His work has earned multiple accolades, including the BEST COLUMN award from The Press Club of New Orleans. A lover of local history, he also enjoys giving cemetery tours in Slidell.
