📈 📉 Temperatures will continue climbing until a cold front pushes through during the middle of the weekend. The warmth and humidity of summer have not set in for good just yet, as thermometers will drop 30- 40 degrees behind this next system.

🌪️ A total of 14 tornadoes have been confirmed across parts of southeast Louisiana and southwest Mississippi from the March 11, 2026 tornado outbreak caused by a line of severe storms.

📅 This is the most tornadoes confirmed in a single day since the April 10th, 2024 tornado outbreak in which 15 tornadoes.

The strongest and widest tornado was near Magnolia-Pisgah Road and Hwy 570 in Pike County, MS where large sections spanning nearly a quarter mile wide of forest were destroyed due to estimated winds near 110 mph.

Last weeks weather that came though

The National Weather Service confirmed 3 more tornadoes in Pike County, MS, bringing the Wednesday night total in our region to 10.

Sleet being reported at my hunting lease in Columbia MS. Have also heard rumors of reports in the north Florida parishes area of Louisiana ..

Don’t be shocked to see ice falling out of the sky as this cold core upper low swings by us this morning. The air above our head is freezing cold so the band of green coming through Baton Rouge is transitioning to icy pellets. It’s even cold enough for snowflakes once near Jackson.

Around 1am , Monday morning we will have a line of storms coming through. Storms could be possible to produce Hail and spin off a tornado or 2. We seeing severe thunderstorm warnings and winds gusting 30-40 mph wind gust. I’ll be watching radar and NWS alerts as long as I can.
Another thing that we haven’t talked about are temps over the next 2 days. We will see temps in the 50’s with windchills in the 30’s and 40’s Monday and Tuesday. By Thursday we are back to 70’s and 80’s on Friday.
Stay weather aware tonight. But it shouldn’t last long at all.. Conrad

This cold front is going to shock some people. From the mid 80s to windchills in the 20s. It will feel 60 degrees colder by Tuesday morning.
Sunday is warm with a few storms tonight.
Monday is cold and windy.
Tuesday is chilly too.

Now that the moisture has gone away, it’s time to deal with the cold temps. Areas on the Northshore could see single digit wind chills tomorrow morning . Tuesday morning it looks like will be an improvement and have wind chills in the teens. Then we get to brace for next weekend.

Drastic temperature changes between North and South Louisiana right now. 19 in the North, 71 in the South! 52 degree difference!
