🪵 Each board is a mix of domestic and exotic wood - carefully chosen and hand-selected from Acadian Cypress and Hardwoods. Mahogany, Cherry, American Walnut, Maple and Ash are commonly used.

📝 About the process:
Individual pieces are cut from rough lumber, sized, and planed. These strips are then glued together to form one board.
After glue cures (24 hours) board is cut to size, planed again, then sanded. The board is misted with water to raise grain, which is sanded a second time with finer paper.
Food grade mineral oil is soaked into the board for a few hours.
Board is then wet sanded with very fine grit paper and more oil.
After wiping clean, a coat of board conditioner (containing beeswax) is applied, and buffed to a sheen. (Note: Laminated boards are less prone to warping than solid boards.)
