Double ups are so much fun when you can get them. When you get them in a tournament it just feels right. unfortunatly neither of these fish helped my limit but it is so much fun to double up especially when fighting the wind.

This bite is so much fun finding schooling fish a ripping a fluke over them. You get some very intense bite and even some topwater blow ups. This fish helped anchor my bag in the tournament sunday and I was very glad to have it.

Had a club tournament today got the win with 15.25lbs anchored with these two nice 3.9lbers. Had a tough time with the wind and getting away from the 1.5lb fish but the Lord blessed me with a great day on the water. Keep your eyes peeled for a video on this one soon. KastKing reels and rods got it done today getting all the fish to the boat and their net did an excellent job getting them in the boat. Drop Zone Tackle S.S. Minnow head also caught me a couple today. I’m just waiting for the water temp to drop another few degrees and the minnow bite will be on fire.

The donkey rig is a little sneak when it comes to fish chasing bait fish especially herring. These fish are so agressive and there are plenty of them in the same areas so the chance of doubling up is pretty high. I have been slowly figuring out this late summer bite. Hopefully it sticks around a little bit longer and I can get back on it next year. These fish are going absolutly crazy right now for anything bait fish related and I think the bite will only get better as the water cools down as we go into fall. Starting out the tournament day losing a quality fish in the 3lb range hurts. It is very easy to start to spiral down a bad track after losing fish but you have to remember that it is fishing and part of fishing happens to be losing fish.

Sometime people on the land will give you a shout weather or not its a nice interaction or not can be up in the air. But this was a very nice interaction between some kids on their dock and I. So I had to put a couple in the boat for them to see.
