Lane Restriction Planned Sept. 2 on U.S. 60 at Mile Point 28.4 in Livingston County Near Hospital

PADUCAH, Ky. (Aug. 31, 2026) – Jim Smith Contracting plans to implement a work zone lane restriction on U.S. 60 at mile point 28.4 in Salem, near the Livingston County Hospital, on Wednesday, Sept. 2 for roadway repairs. This is permitted work.

Motorists should expect a single-lane restriction with alternating traffic managed by flaggers from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please use caution.

If additional time is needed to complete the repair, work may resume on Thursday, Sept. 3.

Shelby Road in Livingston County to Close Aug. 19 at Crittenden County Line for Bridge Repairs

PADUCAH, Ky. (Aug. 17, 2026) – Shelby Road in Livingston County will be closed at mile point 0.94, at the Crittenden County Line, starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, for bridge repairs.

The bridge over Claylick Creek is located about 4.5 miles south of U.S. 60 and KY 133 at Salem. Shelby Road connects with Axel Creek Road in Crittenden County.

Message boards will be placed in advance of the closure, including on KY 70 in Crittenden County. Motorists should plan to self-detour.

The closure is expected to remain in place until about 8 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20, to allow the materials to fully cure before traffic resumes on the bridge.

Approximately 440 vehicles travel this section of Shelby Road in an average day.
