Smiths Station High PNN The Panther Roar began in 1960 and later became known as The Panther Press. The Panther Press remained in publication until 2010 when it went online.

In 2004, the Panther News Network was born and began the TV program at Smiths Station High School.

Thanks to the Lee County Commission for recognizing these Smiths Station High School students for their arts accomplishments! Each of the young ladies won in the CSU Annual Art Throwdown, and Konnor has many band accomplishments leading to his being selected as a WTVM Wonder Kid!
