Trump's Iran Deal Contradiction Just Got Worse π¬
This Iran deal debate is starting to feel like two completely different stories.
On one hand, Donald J. Trump says his proposed agreement creates a "wall" preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.
On the other hand, language reportedly contained within the Memorandum of Understanding appears to suggest that Iran may maintain the existing status quo while avoiding additional sanctions.
So here's my question:
How is that a wall?
If Iran keeps what it already has and no new sanctions are imposed, what exactly is changing?
Maybe I'm missing something.
Maybe the details haven't been fully explained.
Or maybe the public is being sold a very different version of the agreement than what's actually being negotiated.
To help process the confusion, I once again brought out the legendary:
"Liar."
scene from Captain America: Civil War because the contradiction is becoming harder and harder to ignore. π
This isn't left vs right.
It's about transparency, foreign policy, and whether the words being used to sell a deal actually match what's written in the agreement.
"When the sales pitch and the paperwork don't match, people start asking questions." π
