MORE INFO on the Tornado Watch in effect until 10pm for areas south of Atlanta. Here are the counties included in the watch: Chattahoochee, Coweta, Fayette, Harris, Heard, Marion, Meriwether, Muscogee, Pike, Schley, Spalding, Stewart, Talbot, Taylor, Troup, Upson and Webster Co.

I have been growing little concerned about how cold these models have been trending lately!. Once again we shall see how cold it actually gets!. -Camp

We will have to see about that! Life should continue as normal until I am more certain the depicted storm shown here on the model even materializes. I will check again on Monday the 14th and the 21st!. -Camp

Friday 12/7, evening update: The Winter Storm Watch area has been extended to include a larger area of north Georgia. There is the potential for significant freezing rain accumulations across the southern portion of the watch area while snow, sleet, and freezing rain remain possible across the northern portions of the watch area. The forecast will continue to be refined as this system approaches, so remember to check the latest forecasts!

A Flood Watch has been issued for north and central Georgia from Saturday morning through Sunday night with 2-3" of rain expected for most of the area. Saturated ground soil will enhance runoff which may cause several elevated rivers & creeks to rise above flood stage.

A Frost Advisory is in effect for Saturday morning from 1-9 AM. Temperatures will be in the low- to mid- 30s overnight putting sensitive outdoor vegetation at risk if not covered.
