Eleanor and Peyton brought old-world romance to their Washington wedding, from her drop-waist gown and Spanish-style lace veil to the garden setting surrounding their ceremony. The celebrations started early with music, dancing and a feather-trimmed robe before continuing with margaritas and white cosmos. White and green hydrangeas filled the dinner tables, carrying the garden feel into the reception, where the couple cut their two-tier vintage-piped cake and shared the first slice. Congratulations, Eleanor and Peyton!

From the day they met, Jared and Ben were inseparable. The couple built a life together, traveling the world, caring for their pups, Dolly and Jolene, and going to concerts—especially those of the electronic dance music (EDM) variety. So when it came time to say “I do,” they knew they wanted to throw a lively affair. 

“The focus of their wedding was all about creating a great atmosphere for their chosen friends and family,” says Seattle-based photographer Jen Patterson. “They wanted it to truly feel like a celebration, where everyone felt equally seen and involved.” Also important was honoring Ben’s Chinese heritage, which they did during a traditional tea ceremony and via an emphasis on the color red throughout the celebration. 

The grooms exchanged vows atop the King Street Ballroom’s rooftop terrace, standing before a stunning, sculptural red-and-white floral arrangement. Dolly and Jolene, dressed in their wedding-day finest, trotted down the aisle carrying the rings in red boxes. Once the proverbial knot had been tied, the true party could begin. 

Guests were whisked into the ballroom, where elegant black draping set the stage for the high-energy evening to come. The newlyweds, clad in chic ivory suit jackets, made their grand entrance into their EDM-inspired reception, complete with a black-and-white checkered dance floor, lasers, fog machines and showstopping pyrotechnics. Sparks were indeed flying as they shared their first dance as a married couple

The inaugural WIPA National Conference brought the wedding industry together at Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa for several days of inspired design, education and connection. From custom gifting and thoughtful details at registration to an editorial Western welcome party, the conference set the tone for an immersive few days in Texas.

Education and celebration continued with keynote speaker Daymond John, colorful luncheons and a playful country club-inspired evening benefiting Wish Upon a Wedding. For Iron Diamond Media, one of the most meaningful moments came when Sonja Babich announced the launch of Iron Diamond, a new national wedding publication debuting on newsstands in April 2027.

WIPACon concluded with “Atelier,” a fashion-inspired gala filled with draping, pearls, ribbon, florals and theatrical live entertainment. It was a fitting end to a conference centered on creativity, community and the people continuing to shape the wedding industry.

Into the Woods: This quiet forest retreat flourishes with meadow-inspired blooms, zesty orange hues and layered textures. Katelynn Long, owner and event coordinator at Snohomish-based Sage Event Co. envisioned this wedding design—an inviting tableau featuring subtle Art Nouveau touches, layered textures and details that felt collected rather than perfectly matched. “I wanted it to feel immersive in a way that immediately slows you down,” she says. “Sometimes wedding design can be beautiful but distant, and I always want our designs to feel emotionally inviting.”

For the ceremony, Rose & Sparrow anchored the altar with a meadow- inspired floral arrangement in soft blue and zingy shades of orange. “These colors work well from early spring through late fall,” says owner and lead designer Adrian Hayden Hopkins. “There are plenty of varietals growing locally to choose from, including spring tulips, pansies, marigolds, ranunculus, narcissus and hydrangea.”

Weekends for Minrui and Daolun are usually spent in nature, exploring and hiking with their two dogs, Lucky and Coco. The couple met via an online dating app, and after countless outdoor adventures and trips to national parks, including one memorable night of camping and stargazing at Joshua Tree in California, they realized their blossoming love was one for the ages. On an early September day, at Snoqualmie’s sublime North Fork Farm, Minrui and Daolun began their next chapter as husband and wife. Their wedding celebrated their love of nature, with the scenic Mount Si towering in the background. Clad in a shoulder-baring gown, Minrui walked down an aisle blooming with sumptuous floral arrangements, featuring a mix of light blue hydrangeas, which evoked the gentle beauty of water, and delicate baby’s breath accents that added romance and airy elegance.

A unique, hedge-like design formed the altar—its purposeful height enabling the impressive mountain views to shine. “Combined with the bride’s favorite shade of purple, the design creates a refreshing and graceful atmosphere,” says planner Gloria Xiong of Gloria Events and Weddings. One particularly romantic moment was when Lucky and Coco, the canine ring bearers, trotted down the aisle with the rings. “Surrounded by blooming flowers, with majestic mountains standing witness to their love, they exchanged vows as family and friends cheered in joy.”
