At 17, I decided to join the Army, which has become one of the greatest investments in my life. Growing up in Jamaica and later moving to the United States was an adventure on its own, a big change full of challenges but also new opportunities. I always dreamed of exploring the world, getting an education, and building a life that would make my mom proud, but I knew that path wouldn't be easy.
The Army became the bridge that connected my dreams to reality. It allowed me to travel, experience different cultures, and see the world in ways l'd imagined. I've earned my degree, built a career with purpose, and discovered a strength in myself that I never knew was there. Joining the Army wasn't just a job. It was a way to build a future I could have only dreamed about. It's proof that you can create the life you've always wanted, no matter where you start, with courage and determination.
