Anyone who knows me knows I’m a diehard Chevy/GM guy. Our business runs around 200 work vehicles—all GM. I’ve supported this brand for years.
But this has gotten ridiculous.
We bought this $100K+ Escalade to be a safe, dependable family vehicle.
The original 6.2L catastrophically failed—spun bearing, metal in the engine, towed to the dealer. GM replaced the entire engine under warranty.
We thought that was the end of it.
It wasn’t.
The replacement engine has since been back for a flashing check-engine light, misfire, coolant concerns and low-oil warnings.
Now it’s back AGAIN, and we’re being told the replacement engine is leaking coolant internally and needs HEAD GASKETS AND LIFTERS.
Seriously? We’re tearing apart the new motor now too?
My wife doesn’t trust the vehicle anymore. My kids don’t want to ride in it because they’re afraid it’s going to break down again.
I’m a loyal GM customer. I understand vehicles break. But two engines worth of major problems in the same Escalade isn’t acceptable.
We’ve stood behind GM for years.
Now it’s time for GM and Cadillac to stand behind us.
GM. CADILLAC. WHERE YOU AT?
