This week, we pause to honor the brave men and women in law enforcement who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
National Police Week is observed each year to recognize the dedication and courage of officers who protect our communities and to remember those we've lost. This year, major memorial events are taking place in Washington, D.C., bringing together families, fellow officers, and communities from across the country to pay tribute to fallen heroes.
🕯️ Peace Officers Memorial Day on May 15 is a solemn day of national remembrance. The week's events include the moving Candlelight Vigil and the National Peace Officers' Memorial Service, two of the most powerful tributes in the nation.
To every officer serving today, and to the families who carry their loved ones' legacies forward--thank you. We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
