Last week, Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) teamed up with amazing partners including Kentucky Department of Agriculture, Kentucky Cattlemen's Beef, Kentucky Cattlemen's Association, Shaping Our Appalachian Region Inc, Kentucky Extension Office and New Frontier to serve lunch to tornado victims and volunteers helping clean up in London and Laurel County. In hard times, Appalachia’s heart shows up strong—neighbors helping neighbors, side by side.

Somerset, KY- Went out with my camera after the tornado hit. No real plan—just wanted to see what was damaged.

Some places barely touched. Others—completely wrecked. Power lines tangled, trees snapped like twigs, pieces of people’s homes scattered across lawns.

What stood out most wasn’t just the wreckage—it was the people. Neighbors checking on each other, crews already out working, folks doing what they can to help.

Grateful to witness the strength of this community. These are a few frames from what I saw.
