Meet Peanut 👋 Peanut is this FURsday's featured pet! She is a 12-year-old Yorkshire Terrier who has been at the shelter for 11 days.

Peanut is less than 10 pounds and is excellent on a leash. She's not interested in toys and prefers people over pretty much anything else. She does fine with other dogs and cats. Despite her age, Peanut is in very good health aside from some mild dental tartar and a collapsing trachea. As of now, there is nothing to be done for her collapsing trachea aside from keeping her stress and activity levels low to moderate, avoiding irritants like smoke/heavy fragrances, and walking her on a harness instead of a leash. She may require medication or further care in regards to her trachea down the line but for now, she just needs to be monitored.

Meet Dolly! 👋 Dolly is this FURsday's featured pet! She is a five-year old perfect angel who has been at the shelter for one week.

Found as a stray, Dolly was severely matted and malnourished. She has since been groomed and is on the road to recovering her target weight. The best guess is she is a Poodle mix, but there’s no guessing about her very friendly nature, sweet disposition, and love for people. Dolly is a people “person” for sure!
