Bigger, better, on Friday night instead of Thursday night, and even more fun!

SJWC is excited to bring back the Adult Glow in the Dark Easter Egg Hunt in downtown Somerset on Friday, April 3rd!!

This year, we'll be hiding about 4000 eggs for you gown-ups to hunt and we'll start the hunt a bit later so you can actually see the eggs glow! Make sure this is on your calendar!!

(We know this is Good Friday and purposefully plan to start later so those who want to attend services can do so. We also are aware it is the first weekend of Spring Break, but we didn't want to move it back up to March just because of iffy weather.)

A Sample Of Somerset will be back on the evening of Thursday, June 4th at the Judicial Center Plaza in downtown Somerset!

This is ALWAYS a favorite event for our community and it is the first fundraiser of the year for Operation Angel Care.

If your restaurant, bakery, deli, beverage business, bistro, cafe, pizzeria, food truck, catering company, etc., would like to be part of this event, please go ahead and comment here or email [email protected]. Of course, someone from SJWC will be by your business to visit with you and give you more information in a few weeks. We want you to be prepared and excited to provide your best samples to those who attend our annual event.

Here is info in case you are unfamiliar with how this works:
--You will set up a booth space at the event and will provide at least 300 SAMPLES (not full servings) of your menu items. THIS WILL COST YOU NO MONEY OTHER THAN YOUR PRODUCTS AND TIME!!
--Attendees will purchase tickets for $1 per sample and will give you that ticket when they visit your booth.
--You'll give them a sample in a small cup, container, plate or napkin.
--Every dollar raised through ticket sales and all fees from non-food vendors will go to support Operation Angel Care for the 2026 Christmas season.
--It's a win-win-win...you get your menu seen and sampled by lots of people who may not have tried you (and some of your regulars will be there, too), attendees will have very happy and full tummies from all the good food, and Operation Angel Care receives much needed money to purchase Christmas gifts for Pulaski County children in need!!!

Plan to participate in this fun annual downtown Somerset event!!

Even though I’m not able to resume publishing our Compass magazine just yet, I jumped on this chance to write about colorectal cancer awareness for the Commonwealth Journal’s March magazine. It’s an important topic and I hope you will seek out a copy and read all the great content from cover to cover.
