The place is the Tin Pan Alley Tavern in New York City. World War I has just ended and Prohibition has been ratified. Not a good situation for your neighborhood tavern. But the patrons of the Tin Pan Alley Tavern keep their spirits up about the future as they reminisce about the wonders of their past. This musical revue will share the stories of the these individuals and feature some of the great
songwriters of the era such as Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Jerome Kern and Victor Herbert as well as such classic American standards as “The Sidewalks of New York” and “Alexander’s Ragtime Band.” The musical will also introduce such delightful, little known songs as “I Can Dance with Everybody but My Wife” and “How You Going to Wet Your Whistle When the Whole Darn World Goes Dry.”
This musical had its debut in the fall of 2014.
