Ashley and I are starting to think about the 2017 Boston 48. We'll decide shortly if we're going to do it, but if we do, our goals are thus:

1) Have fun. A take gets ruined but everyone laughs? Perfect. Goal accomplished.
2) "group of friends" mentality. We're doing something fun and hopefully producing a good product- but this is a decidedly non-professional set. You might be acting in one scene, holding a reflector in the next, and trying to get someone to laugh the scene after that.
3) Be on time.
4) don't film next to a freezer.
5) have fun

We're gearing up for the 2016 Boston 48HFP!

We're looking for cast and crew, so if you're interested, let us know before we fill up! We're also looking for interesting locations to shoot. We're already in talks with one local business (we're planning to announce which soon!) so if you have a location, act fast!

- Producer, Craft Services (to make food budget, and keep cast and crew fed)

- Gaffer and Grip (preferably with own lighting gear)

- Assistant Director - plan shot setups (15 max), make the call sheet, wrangle people on set

- Media Manager (to swap and dump SD cards)

- Sound Mixer (on site recording)

- Composer (to score film, 5 minutes max)

- Makeup

- Hair

- Production Designer (to decide what the set looks like)

Registration for the 48hfp Boston 2016 starts tuesday! We'll have Mel DuPont, fresh from Vancouver, on hand to write and direct. Ashley Dos Santos will be writing with Mel and continuing as a producer. Jeff will be editing and working the camera. We'll need sound, actors, and crew. We learned a ton last year, both what works and what doesn't work, and we're very excited to take a second crack at it!

The 48HFP Boston is May 13-15 this year.

Quick update- we've decided not to do the Providence 48hfp. July just doesn't work timing wise for us to be able to devote a weekend. We'll look at the date for NH when it's announced, which should be sometime in August. I'd still like to do a second 48 this year.

Also- we'll post "Sip" eventually! We promise!
