Sometimes the busiest weeks bring the biggest bounties. Just when you think you're losing a battle, you may be winning the war. This week between appointments, a full workload and now travel, today especially could have been a wash. Instead, it turned into one of the most productive days of the year!
From working on the road since sunrise to closing a deal that will probably reshape everything, it’s a reminder that momentum doesn’t wait for the “perfect” conditions. You just have to keep going.

This week went by so fast: new pitches, website work, strategy sessions, graphics, content, socials, literally all the calls, and yes- also recorded a podcast in there somewhere.🙃
I love what I do, helping businesses move forward.
Even managed to clean and reorganize my office at some point (I know, who am I?!)
Now my plans to take over (or at least solve) all the world’s small business problems will have to wait until Monday. Can we call it a little early today? I mean, it's Friday!

Over 20 years ago, Patrick and I were work colleagues, and now here we are- back together, building something amazing.
It’s funny how life works… sometimes the right people come back into your world at exactly the right time.

Just corrected a HUGE problem for a client from a previous agency that's taken months to fix! It was creating ongoing issues and it feels so amazing but I'm also exhausted it taught a ton but seriously, that was really tough!
If I could take the remainder of the day in solidarity, I would. But I can't, it's the grind. ☕️ There's just too much to do so I'm taking this micro moment to celebrate my win and moving on. Had another big win this week but this gained gratification was painful.

This week, this month, even this year, I’ve really surprised myself.
Reminder: it’s okay to protect your energy and your peace. Not all growth has to be broadcasted, sometimes the most valuable wins aren’t.

This week was a reminder of how valuable partnerships are. I reached out to some colleagues about collaborating and taking a few things off my plate so I can level up the services we provide clients and it feels incredible.

The right people, the right timing, and the right lessons always seem to align. Grateful for the momentum and excited for what’s ahead.

The American Eagle debacle with Sydney Sweeney (who, by the way, looked beautiful in that campaign) set off a storm. The tagline “Sydney has great jeans/genes” was meant to be playful, but it sparked backlash around beauty, race, and genetics. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Then Levi’s jumped in with the risqué Beyoncé’s Reimagine series. No one complained because… Beyoncé.

And then GAP came in and said “y'all, hold my beer,” launching the Katseye collab dancing to Kelis’ Milkshake in a remake of the Bring It On cheer scene.

Now, none of these brands are actually copying each other directly. They’re all just leaning into the same cultural conversation. Love it or hate it, the campaigns all got attention- and attention drives exposure.

Here’s the thing: it didn’t hurt AE long-term. In fact, the company’s stock price even jumped briefly when the campaign was announced.

AE didn’t really lose out. Levi’s and GAP’s “response” campaigns only amplified AE’s visibility. GAP even saw a nice jump in profilability from theirs. At the end of the day, they should be thanking AE.

👉 The takeaway: If you’re going to copy or “join in,” do it so well that people forget about the original. Otherwise, you just look like you’re chasing your competition.
In other words "bitch slap" your competition with creative greatness or look lame as hell trying.

Also… can we talk about how everyone’s arguing about jeans in the middle of a heatwave summer? 😂

Ads don't pull trust triggers, the relationship you build with your audience through messaging does.
