Heavenly Father, Almighty God, Today, on this solemn anniversary of September 11, we bow our heads to remember and honor the 2,977 innocent lives that were so abruptly and tragically taken from us.
We remember the mothers, fathers, children, siblings, and friends who went to work, boarded planes, or rushed forward to save others, never to return home.
We ask that You keep them forever in Your eternal care, wrapping them in Your perfect peace and light. For the families and loved ones who have carried the heavy burden of grief for 25 years, we pray for Your continued comfort.
Heal the wounds that still ache, and quiet the painful memories with Your overwhelming love and grace. Give them strength for today and hope for all the days to come.
Teach us, Lord, to live each day with greater kindness, love, and unity. May the memory of those we lost inspire us to build a more peaceful world, free from hatred and terror.
