We had a great play day in our studio last weekend thanks to some very talented puppeteers. Kudos to Art Gruenberger. of Puppet Art Theater Co.. Marisol Himmel/ModdyPuppets & Heather Gobbée for helping us shoot an IIM promo video. And the production team included 2 other puppeteers Gabrielle Greenfield and Mia Ginesi. Even the puppets were happy! Thank you all!

Progress on our monkey/human puppet with the mold from 1998. Lisa Zagone www.lisazagone.com assembled some great fabrics to create his costume. And as this puppet will have 2 sets of hands, one set rodded and the other "live" (like the Swedish Chef) Lisa came up with magnetic snaps for quick replacement. Clever!

This is an interesting puppet build/recycle project. Our client wanted a puppet for an indie film and asked if we could build a monkey/human puppet with a similar head to one we sculpted for a PBS show in 1998. Amazingly enough, we still had the head mold and it was in good condition. The client's puppet will be much different, but here's some photos. I'll try to post more as we continue the build.

We've been using our studio for puppet building, but it was great to have a shoot in last week. It was a test for an educational video. Anyone need to shoot greenscreen in the SF Bay Area? If so, we're all set to go!
