IDEA Week brings entrepreneurs together to share what they love about our region.

This year we tried something new, a blue backdrop matching the event branding, and brought people in front of the camera to share their ideas about South Bend, Elkhart, and Mishawaka.

Loved hearing these stories and can’t wait to bring more of this style to future events.

We have a brand new website. Our friends at CAMZYN Studio partnered with us to build a site that features our full body of work, case studies, and behind the scenes looks at how we create. It was a long time coming and we’re proud to finally share it. Go check it out and let us know what you think.

On the photo side this quarter, we kept the camera rolling with DeBartolo Performing Arts Center, captured content for SIM Spaces and their golf simulators, and shot photos for our friends at Red Chuck Productions for their new podcast. Always grateful for the variety these projects bring.

This quarter we told the story of $50 million in regional investment.

We partnered with South Bend Elkhart Regional Partnership to capture the READI 1.0 projects across Northern Indiana, over 20 locations and five interviews featuring the Pottawatomie Zoo, Wellfield Visitor Center, Elkhart RC Industries, and the Marshall County Career Innovation Center.

Getting to tell these stories in our own backyard was a highlight of the quarter.

Four Telly Awards. That’s what we brought home this spring. Grateful for the recognition and even more grateful for the clients who trust us with their stories. This kind of validation means a lot for our motivation going into the next project.

Last month, Marvin Curtis and I got word from Notre Dame’s Institute for Social Concerns that a new mural was going up on South Bend’s west side, and that Rosemary Sanders would be on it.

If you’ve been following our work, you know Rosemary is the subject of our upcoming feature documentary, Invisible Player. She was the first Black musician to join the South Bend Symphony Orchestra. We were so excited to hear this was happening, and that her legacy would keep living on through public art.

On August 6th, the mural was unveiled in front of the west side community. Rosemary’s daughter Helen was there, along with family who traveled in from Las Vegas, Florida and Michigan. Rosemary’s great granddaughter was there too, standing in front of her own likeness on the wall.

Artist Oscar Joyo did remarkable work. Alongside Rosemary he painted boxer Harold Brazier, community leader Gladys Muhammad and youth leader Charles Martin, with scenes of familiar west side places woven in between them.

We’ve spent a lot of time working to make sure Rosemary’s story isn’t forgotten. Seeing the community do the same thing in with this mural is incredible.

You can see it at Faith Deliverance Center, 1415 Lincolnway West, South Bend, IN
