Assessing agent asks board to reconsider abatement decision

Hazardous material disposal day is Sep.19

Citizens of all three Berwicks will be able to dispose of hazardous materials from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept 19, at 2 Industry Drive in Berwick, on Route 4 across from Lowery's Patio Furniture Showroom.

Proof of residency is required and there are limits to what products can be dropped off. For example, latex paint, medications and medical waste will not be accepted.

Permissible items include oil-based paints, varnishes and stains, pesticides, oven and drain cleaners, glues and fertilizers, according to the Town website.
