Can we stop pretending every business owner loves marketing?
You built a business. You didn't sign up for a second career as a full-time marketer.
But somewhere between serving your customers, managing the books, answering emails, handling the day-to-day operations and actually doing the work people pay you for, you're also supposed to consistently create content, come up with ideas, write captions, make graphics and figure out what the heck the algorithm wants from you this week.
And then someone says, “You just need to post more.”
That's not exactly helpful advice.
Your content should support your business. It shouldn't become another business you have to run.
That's where strategy matters. You don't necessarily need more content. You need to know what you're trying to accomplish, who you're trying to reach, what you need them to understand about your business and what you actually have the capacity to maintain.
And if social media visibility is one of those things that keeps getting pushed to the bottom of your list, you don't have to keep doing it all yourself.
That's one of the ways I help through Defined Edge - bringing the strategy and social media support together so your visibility doesn't depend on whether you happened to find an extra three hours this week.
If marketing keeps landing on your “I'll get to it when I have time” list, let's talk.
You might not need another marketing tip. You might just need to take one more job off your plate.
