I recently purchased a stereo pair of Shure SM81 mics, specifically for recording acoustic guitar. It was the right choice for me and the recording turned out nicely! Next I am trying them on drum overheads, in place of the AKG 414 XLSII matching stereo pair I’m using now.

The studio continues to evolve! I recently added the sit/stand Orbit series StudioDesk to hold the MIDI keyboard controller and the Raven touch screens. It's all added a lot of style, comfort and practicality to creating music!
