We are hosting a Pray for Powder Retro Glow Party at Paddle House Brews. There will be a Best Retro Ski Suit Contest, Glow Stick Dance Party, kid-friendly activities, door prizes, raffle, hot dogs, hot cocoa and s’mores. DJ Diversity will be spinning dance music all evening.

Happy birthday to singer-songwriter and pianist, Bruce Hornsby. His signature style on the keyboards is so unique and recognizable. His music draws from a wide range of traditions that include folk, jazz, modern classical, bluegrass, rock and jam band styles. Hornsby has won three Grammy Awards: a 1987 Grammy Award for Best New Artist with Bruce Hornsby and the Range, a 1990 Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Recording, and a 1994 Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance.

Hornsby has worked with his touring band Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers, his bluegrass project with Ricky Skaggs, and as a session and guest musician. He was a touring member of the Grateful Dead from September 1990 through March 1992, playing over 100 shows with the band.

One of my favorite songs of all time, "The End of the Innocence" was co-written and co-produced by Hornsby and Don Henley who sings lead vocals and the title track from Henley's third solo studio album of the same name, released in 1989. I met him when he was on the same bill as Jackson Browne and to see and hear so many of both their familiar songs was quite memorable. ❤ Happy 71st Bruce! 🎂🎂

It’s another 6 hour Freaky Fat Friday morning radio show Tahoe! Yeah, I left the ‘Fat’ out so as to not body shame my radio show! I need to lose a few pounds (okay maybe more than just a few) but the show itself is definitely fat! You know, it just dawned on me I don’t have an official ‘Freaky Fat Friday’ radio show logo. Any ideas? I’m open. Thanks are dress warmly it’s chilly out there my high Sierra peeps! 🐾🐾✌🏼❤️
