News Release: MP for Tamale Central Commissions State-of-the-Art Clinic in Gumbihini

Gumbihini, Tamale Central – November 10, 2024

The Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Hon. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, in partnership with CATAR Charity Foundation, today officially commissioned a new, state-of-the-art clinic in the Gumbihini community. This facility is expected to significantly enhance healthcare accessibility and quality for thousands of residents in Tamale Central, particularly the Gumbihini area. The clinic, which includes a fully equipped medical wing and four nurses' apartments, is anticipated to be a cornerstone in the region’s health infrastructure.

The commissioning ceremony, attended by prominent local leaders and representatives from the Tamale Metro Health Directorate, was filled with joy and celebration. Chiefs and residents of Gumbihini gathered to express their profound gratitude to Hon. Murtala Mohammed and CATAR Charity Foundation for their collaborative effort in bringing this project

Sradio 5 News can confirm authoritatively that Hon. Anthony Evans Amoah, the Member of Parliament for the Mpohor Wassa constituency, is alive, contrary to speculation on social media.

The Director of Elections and Legal Affairs of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Gary Nimako, stated via WhatsApp when contacted by Sradio 5 News that the party is not aware of any such news. He believes it is false and urges the general public to disregard these rumours circulating on social media.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Oforikrom constituency in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Anwel Ahmed Sadat donated bags of fertilizer to farmers in Appiadu-Kokoben during his recent tour of the farming communities in the municipality. The farmers, who had made an appeal to the parliamentary candidate on July 7, 2024, expressed difficulties in farming due to the high costs of essential items.

Mr Philip Adagbo, who received the donations on behalf of the farmers' association, expressed gratitude to Hon. Sadat and his team for their generosity and support ahead of the upcoming December 7 polls.
🎯The constituency Communication Officer, Hon. Jerry James Sukah, highlighted the positive policies of H.E. John Dramani Mahama for farmers and urged th community to vote for the party in the upcoming elections on December 7.

👉🏼The Food and Beverages Association of Ghana expressed disappointment to parliament over the approval of 3 new revenue tax bills.

👉🏼They shrug off the agitations of the people and went ahead to have the bills approved.

According to the Association;

👉🏼“We petitioned the Speaker of Parliament, the Trade Committee, and the Finance Committee and even petitioned the Majority and Minority Leaders in Parliament, but Parliament still went ahead and passed the bills.

👉🏼“We are calling on the government to suspend these laws and engage us to find ways to achieve the target without hurting businesses.

👉Deputy Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markins has described the censure motion against the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, as a failed attempt by the Minority caucus in Parliament.

👉He said the Majority will not in any way support any political motion for the removal of Mr. Ofori-Atta.

👉The Majority will be exempted from any secret ballot against the Finance Minister, warning the Minority caucus not to tickle themselves of getting the numbers to secure a win he disclosed.
