Looking for this pattern. The site I seen it on says it’s a free pattern but can’t find a link. I am wanting to make it for my wedding dress. Would appreciate any help to find the pattern. Thank you ☺️

My parents house (where I grew up) in Feilding, New Zealand. It was built in 1877 for the man in charge of building the railway line that was to run through Feilding.
After the original owner left it was bought by a French lady called Miss McLean. She used to keep monkeys in the house (late 1890s).
My parents bought the house in 1977 when it was in a serious state of disrepair. There was no bathroom or toilet inside. There was no reliable source of running water in the house.
My parents have spent the last 40+ years lovingly restoring it to its former glory.
Most of the house is built with Kauri. Next time I pop in to see them I will get some photos of the inside of the house 😊.

I just wanted to introduce myself and share a photo that I took. I live in a victorian house in Inverness. All our pitch pine woodwork had been stained in dark varnish, hiding the wood grain. It was so thick you could not see carved details like the oak leaves on the stair post.
I spent several years of winter evenings stripping skirting boards, dado rails, picture rails and finally the stairs. Used hot gun for some areas and chemical strip for others. Doors we had dip stripped.
I created scrapers, made to match regular shapes, or just different shapes of fine points, from chisels and screwdrivers
Final stage was to go over it all again and have our painter put on a clear varnish. I'm happy with the result but it was a LOT of work.

The back stairs in our grade 2 listed thatched cottage in Bedfordshire, England.
This is what 400 years of wear looks like, give or take a few years. It's slightly treacherous in your slippers & more steep and narrow than it looks here!
*This is sadly just a leased property for us, we have no say in paint etc.

We opened up our attic so that this amazing window could be seen and enjoyed. Grateful every day that we did! The detail of this window amazes me- especially knowing they did it just to be seen from below and never inside. Love the workmanship of a historic home!!
