As ever, extending deep thanks to all the women filmmakers who submitted their films this year.

BIG thanks also to Associate Curator, the inimitable genius of filmmaking / writing Shaula Evans + Assistant Programmer Golaleh Yazdani, a bright light and emerging artist in stop motion and puppetry.

Best film watchers I could possibly ask for. I’m very grateful.

Finally...this is as good a time as any to announce that this will be the final episode of Fem.Cine.Anarchy. We’ve had 6 great years & we’re stoked to end with such a strong roster of short films, directed by women and featuring female protagonists.

Will this spell the end of woman-focused fests in the state of Maine?
