Circa 1993: Martin Levine owned The Blue Star Café, a premier music venue in Hartford, Connecticut. When drummer Greg Anton’s band Zero came to town, Marty hired Toni Fishman to record the shows which led to a lifelong friendship between Greg, Marty and Toni.

Fast forward to February 22, 2020: Greg & Toni produced a show at Telefunken’s Soundstage with a stellar band line-up to celebrate Marty’s life following his recent passing. ‘Starfire’ is a double album of that performance... instrumental improvisation of classic songs by artists such as Freddie Hubbard, Dicky Betts and Jimi Hendrix, as well as Greg’s original compositions.

On February 22, 2020 electric guitar maestro Tim Palmieri (Lotus), Robert Somerville (Kung Fu), Beau Sasser (Kung Fu), David Livolsi (John Scofield) with Greg Anton on drums got together for the first time at Telefunken Elektroakustik's Soundstage. The result is the double album of that performance titled STARFIRE... instrumental improvisation of classic songs by artists such as Freddie Hubbard, Dicky Betts and Jimi Hendrix, as well as Greg’s original compositions.
