At 100 years old, Mary McGuinness said that she doesn’t get out as much as she used to, but she still enjoys going to her favorite Hampton Bays restaurants — Cowfish, Oakland’s and Villa Paul. And when she does go out, she makes sure to make it worth it, getting a three-course meal, a Bloody Mary and an espresso.

By Dan Stark Mary McGuinness lives a simple life in her Hampton Bays apartment. She spends her days vacuuming and keeping her apartment clean and relaxing. After 100 years, she’s earned it. McGuinness celebrated her 100th birthday in June after livi

Joanna Steidle takes all her photos within 1,200 feet of the shores of beaches in Southampton Village and Water Mill, canvassing different beaches as she looks for anything that catches her eye.

“I don’t just sit at one beach and hope something comes by,” she said. “I methodically have a system where I fly my drone offshore in a grid system. Obviously, I’m not going to see everything, but it really helps me make sure that I don’t miss something fantastic.”

By Dan Stark Joanna Steidle, a Southampton-based drone photographer, has been named the 2025 International Aerial Photographer of the Year, beating out hundreds of photographers from around the world. Steidle is the first recipient of the award and

This year’s Holiday House Hamptons, the seventh to benefit the The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the Hermanson Breast Center at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, is once again the brainchild of Iris Danker, a breast cancer survivor and force of nature. She has singlehandedly strongarmed not only designers, but builders, contractors and suppliers to donate their talents to create an in situ fantasy of an idealized ultraluxe Hamptons home. It’s an alluring convention of the design and décor world — not only as a robust fundraiser for worthy causes, but a chance for manufacturers to put their latest and greatest into talented hands for all the world to see. For the designers, the dividends are also there; a great room at a distinguished designer showhouse has been known to literally launch careers.

By Michelle Trauring Under the lights of 230 Elm, about 70 revelers donned their finest tuxes and dazzling gowns and danced the night away to their favorite music at their Southampton High School prom. They laughed, chatted and reconnected. One was c
