Biggie: The Gentle Hound with a Soulful Gaze
They say the eyes are the gateway to a dog’s soul, and there is something about Biggie’s soulful gaze that tells the whole story. This sweet, 9-year-old hound needs a hero to help him start his next, best chapter.
A Heart Broken, Now Mending:
Biggie arrived at the shelter heartbroken. After nine years of stability with his loving owner and four siblings, he suddenly found himself alone. He doesn't understand the sudden change, but little by little, this big baby is rediscovering joy.
His Progress is Our Triumph:
In his foster home, Biggie has slowly begun to open up. We’ve seen the first tentative tail wags, the playful bounce in his step, and, miraculously, the wonderful "zoomies" that show the happy dog waiting beneath the fear. Every happy moment is a profound victory for this gentle boy.
A Big Baby with a Big Heart:
Biggie is not a fighter; he is a runner! When scared, he seeks safety, confirming there isn't a mean bone in his body. He is genuinely great with dogs and cats, making him a perfect companion for a multi-pet home.
The Call for a Hero:
Adopting a senior dog means adopting a dog who already knows how to love. Biggie needs a patient, quiet home where he can be given the time to trust again without feeling abandoned by another new start.
We are looking for the special person who will:
• Celebrate his first new tail wag.
• Cherish the sound of his happy, newfound zoomies.
• Show this deserving senior dog that life can still be full of joy.

Posting as stray but clearly no one is probably looking for them 😣

Anyone looking to foster to adopt/rescue contact the shelter immediately ASAP to open kennel space!!!! Would need to be held as foster to adopt with rescue until stray hold is up.
