Great news about an animal rescue. -Beau Daniels

With the help of Kristi’s Caring Hands Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education the fox was safely transported to Blue Ridge Wildlife Center where he was sedated and the remaining netting was successfully removed.

We're having as heatwave in Metro Detroit! But enjoy it while you can. Forecasters say it won't last long.

It doesn’t feel much like winter on Jan. 9, 2026, as we break the official heat record with a recorded temperature of 58 degrees at Detroit Metro Airport. The previous record was set way back in 1880, according to AccuWeather, at 55 degrees.

The dog named Abbie had walked 25 miles down a highway. “Abbie has since returned to South Carolina and is back with her loving foster, where she is awaiting surgery. We look forward to sharing the news of Abbie’s final victory once she is healed.”
