Jahmyr Gibbs is a stud RB for the Detroit Lions 🏈 Team. Good running & passing game on Offense. TD run in the 4th Quarter. Got a 24-17 lead in the 4th Quarter lead over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Ford Field in Detroit. End the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 5-game streak not allowed a TD run. Tampa Bay Buccaneers allowed 2 TD runs in the NFC Divisional Playoff Game. Played 2 years for the Georgia Tech Yellowjackets & one year with the Alabama Crimson Tide. Finish the deal up. On this date 39 years ago, Vernors announced that it was closing the plant and company headquarters and moving to the suburbs. The date was Jan. 19, 1985.

Vernors had moved to the site on Woodward Avenue and Forest from downtown in 1954. For decades, Detroiters would watch the bottling plant pump out Detroit's "deliciously different" ginger ale from the large windows. The Vernors family sold the sodamaker to corporate interests in 1966, and it has changed hands several times since.

The plant, which had sat abandoned for two years was demolished starting in November 1987. Wayne State University bought the site in 1989 for parking. The Studio One Apartments were built on the site, opening in 2009.
