On Saturday May 24, 70+ people gathered at the Italian American Civic Order of Middletown just to be "judgy." They were judging MEATBALLS. And the winners of the 2025 Get The Ball Rolling Meatball Competition - Judges Choice - Sicily Coal Fired Pizza and the People's Choice was Melilli's Cafe and Grill. Congratulations to them and all ten competitors.

All the meatballs were delicious, thank you to all who participated.

Next up - The Italian American Civic Order of Middletown will be hosting a Farm to Table Dinner on July 23 to benefit Fostering Family Hope. Contact [email protected] for tickets and additional information.

The Italian American Civic Order of Middletown hosted the Second Annual Meatball Competition on Saturday, May 24. Over 70 people attended and judged ten Meatball Makers for appearance,
taste and texture.
Judges Vinny Bonavita, Fire Chief James Trzaski, Jay Polke, Mayor of Rocky Hill Lisa Marotta and Domenick DeMartino awarded Best Meatball to Sicily Coal Fired Pizza.
The People's Choice winner was Melilli's.
