And, yet another line of experimentation we've got going on here at The Wolfbird: reflection tests for various forms of timelapse. This is just the beginning. We're using old 1080p footage at this point, but we're headed for 4K soon, and there's no telling what we'll be able to come up with. We're tweaking various forms of speed and interval, as well as how to compose shots to take advantage of the possibilities for reflection.
Just trying out a few effects to create a particular look and method for more timelapse creation options...

We're still experimenting with defocused hyperlapse as a form of painting, and we've upped our game to 4K from 1080p. This is the same music from Chopin, and it's the next (No. 01) in what we hope to be a long interpretive series of this music.
We've still got some tweaking to do before we consider Fantaisie Impromptu, No. 01 to be complete. What do you think so far?
This is another compilation of defocused hyperlapse footage captured in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and set to the music of Frédéric Chopin, in this…

Here's another avenue of experimentation we're exploring here at The Wolfbird: using hyperlapse as a form of painting. This one is set to music composed by Frederic Chopin.
It's an assemblage of HD1080p footage, and any future explorations will be in 4K, most likely, unless the equipment can't handle it. We'll see.

The Wolfbird is an animation studio in Sparta, North Carolina. We want to help people learn about the world around them.
What is the wolfbird? The wolfbird is the common raven. Corvus corax. Since before human observation and recorded history, the raven and the wolf have had a long history working together, helping each other.
The raven alerts the wolf to the kill.
Then, the ravens partake in the feast with and after the wolves.
There’s more: Apparently, the Vikings and the wolves and the ravens had similar interactions, forming a history together based on spontaneous working relationships.
At the studio we’re building in Sparta, up here above the escarpment in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, we hope The Wolfbird embodies a similar collaborative core.
Join us. Let’s create together! Living learning, animated.
