WHAT THE READERS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THE LATEST BOOK PUBLISHED BY ARTEMIS ARROW BOOKS,
"BEYOND THE HORIZONS".
From the CULTURAL ASSOCIATION OF ASIA MINOR
Dear Mr. Koskoletos,
In this extraordinary voyage, you have succeeded in taking us with you, and together we rediscover and learn important historical facts. Through your tale, we admired the monuments and the ingenuity of our predecessors.
Traveling with you, we feel agony for the untold human tragedies, not only what happened to our people and those of other nations, but more so, we become infuriated by the appalling circumstances which caused them: political and economic and those holy tedious alliances.
Your story is compelling and offers nourishment to knowledge.
Congratulations on your priceless work, so well done.
From Mr. Giannakopoulos, a former teacher
Dear Mr. Konstantinos Koskoletos,
It is with great pleasure to inform you that I finished reading your 598+ page book "Beyond the Horizons". At this point, I feel the need to thank you for this opportunity.
Through the pages of your priceless book, you made me a participant in your hero’s experiences through life. You did refresh my memory and I became cognizant of many events unknown to me, even as an educator. I must admit the contents of your tale thrilled me and left me awestruck. Through its pages, you managed to bring to the foreground not only the lives of your heroes, but more so, your story vividly relates to us Greeks and the world’s ancient and modern history, from the Trojan War to the Twin Towers in New York City. That is an achievement on its own.
Aside from the very fact that Jason, whose life was difficult from childhood and included: poverty, hunger, the orphanage, denials, contempt, and much more that he lived through. He was a simple immigrant to that great country across the Atlantic, with his determination for progress, he climbed high.
Your books, "The Miseries of Occupation" and "Beyond the Horizons", are deep and meaningful books with an abundance of important information. Without being able to distinguish which of the two bears more significance, the fact remains that they both make the reader aware of the sensitivity of human values, which in our days are so unjustifiably challenged.
In "Beyond the Horizons", I noticed that your matchless narration and literary fluency succeed in drawing the reader’s interest who enthusiastically follows the journey of your hero’s life; from his childhood years to the historical events as you so brilliantly described all through your book.
One of my favorite parts that cut my breath short is no other than your description of your long travel to faraway Alaska and the farthest corner of Asia Minor. Your powerful narration of the moving dialogues with your protagonists, Grandpa Stavro, the revolutionary professor, the high ranking German manager at the Space Exploration Industries who, sadly, happened to be an actual participant in the terrible massacre at Kalavryta in 1943, and all other details you so vividly put on paper.
I will never stop admiring the ecstasy and joy Jason felt at the site of our predecessors’ stunning creations. Their monumental achievements, the Temple of Artemis, the ancient ruins of Pergamon, the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, legendary Troy, and the miracle of all miracles, the magnificence of Saint Sofia in Constantinople.
Through the captivating pages of your book, you never missed the opportunity to promote the Hellenic Civilization or to make a note of the Hellenes Wise Men in Anatolia, to whom the sacred land of Asia Minor for millennia was their home. At the same time, you offered a true picture as to how much the Greek spirit has influenced global civilizations and the sciences.
It is also worth mentioning the fantastic battles you so brilliantly described at Ilion or Troy, between Greeks and Trojans, making
the reader feel as though he/she were living through the ten-year disastrous war, as the clashes so vibrantly unfold in front of our eyes.
Your hero’s determination and willpower, and desire to succeed and obtain his goals impress the reader. Jason had the opportunity to work with the industrial giants who researched far away galaxies and people in science and Space Age technology. Jason took advantage of every opportunity that came his way by incorporating his knowledge and skills to get to where he wanted to go. And of course, amidst all occurrences, a big part of his success is attributed to his dedicated wife, Magdalene, Alkioni, in this incredible story.
Through your book’s pages, you speak of virtues and ideals that touch us all; ideals that would be good to be adopted not only by Hellenes/Greeks in and out of the country but also by all freedom-loving people all around the world.
In short, Mr. Koskoletos, your book is an important asset for future generations. In due time, it could become an invaluable source of information for future researchers of history and academia because it encompasses a wealth of precious knowledge of ancient and modern history. The story also teaches the readers how to promote peace, love, solidarity, brotherhood, and respect for humanity.
Congratulations on your excellent book, and I wholeheartedly wish you all the luck in the world.
With unequivocal respect,
F. Giannakopoulos. Educator, Korinthos, Greece
