Building a house is like watching a dream come to life—every step feels more exciting than the last! 🏡🛠️ Last Friday, I made a trip to Charleston to help my daughter (my grandson’s battling a stubborn ear infection—praying for relief soon). While here, I checked on the house, and wow—things are moving FAST! The siding is almost complete, porch rails are being added, front steps are going on and the metal roof is set to go up next week. Can you believe how quickly 2024 has flown by? This year has been full of milestones, but one stands out for me: after two years of searching for riverfront property in Charleston, we finally broke ground on our dream home! It’s set to be completed this spring, and I couldn’t be more excited. 🙌🏻

What’s your holiday table style—classic elegance or full-on festive flair? 🎄✨ For my Christmas tablescape, I went all in with mercury glass trees, silver candle holders glowing with green candles, and adorable mini reindeer accents. The centerpiece is a dreamy mix of greenery, frosted pinecones, white poinsettia blooms, and glittery silver berry stems for that extra sparkle. Each place setting is a plate stack of green and white cabbage dinnerware on top of a grapevine charger finished with reindeer napkin rings as the final touch. Everything ties together for a bit of holiday magic. It’s the little details that make the season sparkle!🎄✨

Christmas magic is officially here! Our grandson’s room is all decked out thanks to this precious nutcracker bedding from .hill - This is the first year I’ve added festive touches to his room, and his reaction melted my heart. Let’s talk holiday magic! This , I’m bringing back one of my favorite Christmas tables, this time with some up-close stills so you can soak in every detail. This look was all about layering cozy textures with natural, elegant touches. 🎄✨

A white linen tablecloth set the stage for a lush centerpiece of greenery, white poinsettias, gold berries, and pinecones. Brass candlesticks with cream candles, mercury glass accents, bottle brush trees, and sweet white reindeer figures added a timeless charm. For the place settings, I layered chargers, green-and-white dinnerware, bamboo flatware, rattan and crystal glasses for a polished finish. Above it all, a eucalyptus garland draped the chandelier, complete with hanging ribbons and ornaments for a festive flourish. 🎄✨

Who’s ready for some holiday table inspiration with a twist? Sharing one of my favorite tablescapes from last year, featuring a pheasant theme that’s rich with greenery and feathers—perfectly suited to carry us from Thanksgiving right into Christmas. Fun fact: pheasant, not turkey, is often the star of fall gatherings in Europe! While our family still serves turkey for both holidays, I love the unique elegance that pheasant decor brings to the table (and they’re a lot easier to find!). Maybe one day I’ll spot the perfect turkey for my setup, but until then, these pheasants have my heart. What do you think? 🦌✨
