For those who inquired....we have not received any word on when the The Capital Club in Columbia will be reopening.
This liquor liability situation in South Carolina has been putting bars and nighclubs out of business for some time now. Why? Our state legilature has failed to properly address the issue.
Hopefully our friends in Cola will be back open soon...

The popular gay bar said the closure was due to insurance issues that have left the club at the “mercy of the underwriter.” (Full story below.)

The Outer Banks PrideFest is scheduled for May 30th, 2026.

"OBX Pridefest is our flagship fundraiser and includes a week of various events throughout the Outer Banks, produced by OBX Pride, Inc., a 501(c)3 local non-profit organization. Established in 2011, OBX Pride, Inc. our mission is to eliminate prejudices and discrimination toward the LBGTQ+ community, to encourage businesses to be LBGTQ-friendly, and to increase tourism to the OBX while honoring the diverse community. Pridefest week is all-inclusive and we welcome everyone.

The 15th Annual OBX Pride Week Kicks Off May 29th, 2026 and runs until May 31st, 2026. Secure your stay for a week full of events!

Saturday, May 30th is our FREE and family-friendly Pride Festival. All ages are welcome!"
