Week 23 of The ASP Senior Series...

Okay, because a college tour is NOT just walking around campus while somebody tells you when the library was built

We're looking at the IMPORTANT stuff

Can I have a car
Where am I doing laundry
What are we eating
Where am I parking
What do people actually DO here
And please for the love go look at the dorm bathroom

Ask questions
Talk to actual students
Look around
Pay attention to how it feels

Can you picture yourself walking to class here
Meeting your people here
Calling this place home for the next four years

And before you leave...

TAKE THE PICTURES
With the sign
With your parents
In the sweatshirt you definitely didn't need but bought anyway

Because one of these random college tour days might end up being the first picture you ever took at the place that becomes home

Save this one for college tour season and send it to your mama because she's absolutely going to have 47 more questions than you do

Okay, little senior photo PSA because I see this all the time...
You do NOT need four completely different versions of the same outfit
If we have jeans + white top, jeans + cream sweater and jeans + another neutral top...
Girl, we basically have one outfit three times
Give me variety, texture, interest
A dress
Something casual
Something fun
Something that feels VERY you
That’s how we make your gallery feel completely different from beginning to end

POSING TIP: DON’T FREEZE

Once I put you in a pose, keep moving within it

Shift your weight from one leg to the other
Lean in, then pull back
Turn your shoulders a little
Change where you’re looking
Move your hands
Tilt your head
Give me a little sway

You don’t need to completely change the pose every time

The smallest movements can take ONE pose and turn it into five completely different photos

I’ll get you where I want you

Then you keep it moving

That’s where the good stuff happens

Week 22 of The ASP Senior Series...

Senior year started approximately five minutes ago and somehow we're already HERE

The cute first day outfit has been worn
Football season is happening
College applications are staring you in the face
Your calendar is slightly terrifying
And yes, apparently they still expect you to do homework during all of this

But here's your reminder

You waited your whole life to finally say you're a senior

Don't get so caught up in what's next that you miss where you are right now

Make the memories
Take the pictures
Go to the things
Laugh with your friends
Enjoy the random Tuesdays

Graduation will get here soon enough

Don't spend your whole senior year waiting for it
