The Spartanburg Police Department is seeking the community’s help in locating 17-year-old Paris Reed.

Paris was last seen during the morning of September 7, 2026, in the area of Woodview Avenue in Spartanburg.

📌 Description:
• Age: 17
• Approximately 5’4”
• Approximately 110 lbs.
• Last seen wearing a white top with black bottoms
• Carrying a large pink backpack

‼️SLED INVESTIGATING FATAL SPARTANBURG POLICE SHOOTING

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — State investigators are reviewing a fatal encounter involving Spartanburg police that occurred late Sunday night at the Georgetown Luxury Townhomes and Apartments on Kensington Drive.

According to authorities, officers were responding to a reported disturbance when 25-year-old Brianna Skiesha Zara Edwards came onto a breezeway with a handgun. Police say Edwards pointed the weapon toward officers, and one officer fired.

Edwards received medical aid at the scene and was transported to a hospital, where she later died.

The officers involved were placed on administrative leave while the incident is reviewed. Spartanburg Police requested that the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) conduct an independent investigation. Findings from that investigation are expected to be provided to prosecutors for review.

🚨 CORONER IDENTIFIES WOMAN KILLED IN SPARTANBURG OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman killed in an officer-involved shooting Sunday night as 25-year-old Brianna Skiesha Zara Edwards of Spartanburg.

Spartanburg Police said officers responded to a disturbance on Kensington Drive around 10:58 p.m. Authorities allege Edwards displayed a handgun and pointed it at an officer, who then fired.

Officers provided first aid before Edwards was transported to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 11:28 p.m.

SLED is investigating the shooting. The officers involved have been placed on administrative leave pending an internal review.

🚨 TWO DEAD AFTER WRONG-WAY CRASH ON I-85 IN SPARTANBURG COUNTY

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. — Two people were killed early Friday morning after a wrong-way crash on Interstate 85 in Spartanburg County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The Duncan Fire Department said crews were called around 3:25 a.m. to two separate crashes on I-85, one near mile marker 61 and another near mile marker 63 at the Highway 290 exit.

Troopers said both crashes were caused by a wrong-way driver. One crash was described as minor, while the second crash resulted in two deaths.

The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

‼️WOMAN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER AFTER INMAN SHOOTING

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. — A 35-year-old woman has been charged after a Wednesday morning shooting in Inman left a man in critical condition.

Spartanburg County deputies responded to Gowan Road around 7 a.m., where they found a man suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was transported to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

Investigators charged Jasmine Marie Sanders, 35, with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. She was booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Facility.

The investigation remains ongoing.

The charges are allegations. Sanders is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

🔎 SPARTANBURG POLICE SEEK HELP IDENTIFYING THEFT SUSPECT

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — The Spartanburg Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying an individual in connection with a felony theft investigation at Westgate Mall.

Police say the incident occurred at 205 W. Blackstock Road and involved the theft of a large quantity of jewelry.

Anyone who recognizes the individual or has information that could assist investigators is asked to contact Sgt. Garrett at (864) 591-4379 and leave a message.

Case #: C26080131

The individual is being sought for identification in connection with an investigation. No determination of guilt has been made.

🚨 SPARTANBURG COUNTY MAN, 71, FACING SERIOUS CHARGES INVOLVING A MINOR.

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. — A 71-year-old Spartanburg County man has been arrested following an investigation by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).

Howard Thomas Henderson is charged with criminal sxual conduct with a minor involving a victim between 11 and 14 years old, second-degree criminal s**ual conduct, and in**st.

According to arrest warrants, authorities allege Henderson used a position of authority to coerce the victim into s**ual battery and threatened physical harm against the victim and others. The alleged conduct occurred between 2008 and 2011.

Henderson was booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Center. The South Carolina Attorney General’s Office will prosecute the case.

The charges are allegations. Henderson is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

DRIVER KILLED AFTER EXITING VEHICLE FOLLOWING I-26 CRASH IN SPARTANBURG COUNTY

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. — A driver was killed early Friday morning after exiting a vehicle following an initial crash on Interstate 26 East in Spartanburg County.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the driver had been involved in a single-vehicle crash near mile marker 31 and exited the vehicle.

Authorities said a Toyota sedan traveling eastbound on I-26 then struck the person in the roadway. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s identity had not been released at the time of the initial report.

The incident caused a lengthy closure of the eastbound lanes before the interstate fully reopened around 10:30 a.m.

The crash remains under investigation.
