High Plains Observer Bringing You The News...While It's Still The News! Spearman Chamber honored the HPO with business of the year in 2008. Thus the Perryton HPO.

The first HPO the High Plains Observer began in Spearman in July 2006 and has enjoyed tremendous success as a huge community information center. Gina, husband Brian, and Ron and Bev Antalek have been partners on the Spearman HPO and agr

eed from the beginning the obvious next step was to branch out into the outlying communities. When Grace Pshigoda, (Brian and Gina’s daughter) moved to Dumas in 2008, the timing was perfect to go online in Dumas. Now Grace is busy with her family but Dumas continues to serve Moore County. In October 2009 Jackie Wiswell came on board and helps the team with more stories and photos for the HPO in Dumas. Next came HPO Hutchinson County offering another online source. In August 2020, Alexa Reed came on board with HPO Stratford. The theory is the same…news as it happens, lots and lots and lots of color photos, important and timely information, useful links, and a newspaper that involves YOU. Simply email your information, story ideas, and photos to [email protected] and we will make sure they make the headlines! We are happy to provide our news site free of charge to our viewers and as you can see we have been around for awhile. Please if you have any events that you would like for us to try to cover just send us an email at [email protected]. Join us on Facebook also. High Plains Observer Facebook serves all five of our sites. Spearman, Perryton, Dumas, Stratford and Hutchinson County.
