A special message from our Friends at McCormick’s Creek State Park:

“Please join us as we thank donors, students and sponsors:

A short thank-you honoring the Patriots for the Park and check dedication will happen on Friday, July 11 at 7:00 p.m. at Redbud Shelter.

Last fall, a group of high school students came together for the purpose of raising money to help the park recovery following the 2023 tornado. Partnering with the Owen County Community Foundation, a generous offer was made to match all money raised by the end of the school year. Donations came from far and wide, including the Indiana Parks Alliance, the Friends of McCormick’s Creek State Park and more!

We are thrilled to say that their goal was met and over $21,000 was raised! Matched by the OCCF, we now have the $40K needed to replace the trail 5 bridge to Wolf Cave. Plans are to begin building next year after bidding has happened.

We are so grateful to the Patriots for the Park and the Owen County Community Foundation.”

Cloverdale Community Schools' Knoy After-School Program is excited to announce that we have been awarded a $34,559.88 grant from the Putnam County Community Foundation to support our after-school program! We can’t wait to put these funds to good use by providing vital resources that strengthen our program and help us continue to offer a safe and engaging environment for learning beyond the school day.

Give your 4-H member a shoutout they’ll never forget! Our 4-H Personal Ads are a simple way for family and friends to say “We’re proud of you!” in The Owen News 2025 Fair Edition.

For just $20, you get a 1/16th page ad that includes:
