The Spencer Media Group is excited to hand out FREE RECIPES during this year's Clay County Fair Sept. 6-14th. This year's theme is "Picnics & Potlucks!" If you have a favorite dish you always bring to a picnic or potluck, we'd love for you to enter your recipe. If SMG chooses your recipe to be one of the twelve we hand out, we'll give you a pair of gate admission passes. Deadline is August 21st.

The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls says there is the potential for thunderstorms to develop during the overnight hours tonight/early Wednesday morning. As of now, forecasters are predicting by the time storms reach northwest Iowa, they could weaken. But the risk is still there.
