What an amazing day it was for our annual church picnic!!
Each year we have a bake off with a different category. Last year it was cookies (I actually took 1st place on that one🤗)
This year it was cakes 🍰 and I had the honor of being one of the judges!!!!😊
Let me tell you…it was NOT an easy job!!! Look at some of these beautiful cakes😍
It was really fun and I’m so glad I got to do this!!

📌Unpopular opinion…I love to go grocery shopping!

I think one of the things I enjoy most is finding those little treasures I may have missed if I didn’t go to the store!
Although, I probably spend more money that way too😅🤔

We finally had some sun☀️ today so as soon as hubby got home we headed to the pool.

Our new neighborhood certainly has lots of kids…the pool was very busy and filled with the sounds that brought me right back to when we used to bring our littles to the pool🥰

I was still able to find some space to get a water workout in…something I’ve been waiting to do for the longest time, and hoping my time in the pool will help a long term leg issue I’ve been dealing with.🙏

Then home to grill some local (as in right up the street!) beef on the Blackstone followed by enjoying a cup of tea on the front porch.

I’m honestly filled with such gratitude as I’m writing all of this because this kind of feels like a vacation today😎

Roasted chicken with fresh onions, garlic, carrots, and potatoes…seasoned with salt and fresh parsley. Simple ingredients that are always on hand make the best meals!
And the homemade rolls made it even better!!🥰

First unofficial weekend of summer😎☀️
And that means it’s not only time for the pool to open, but also for burgers!

This one was pretty simple…hubby made these on the Blackstone, topped with American cheese, and in between a toasted brioche bun. Then smothered in dill pickle mustard, ketchup, and mayo…it would have been 💯better if I remembered to put sliced onion on it, but still pretty amazing and tastes just like summer😎

Okay, I need to know…what do you like to put on your burger?🍔

Still feeling a bit under the weather today🤧but the cooler rainy weather made it possible to spend some time in the garage and start to get things organized.

Now that the inside of our new home is all unpacked and up and running…this space needs some desperate order to it!

Starting off with these storage cabinets. The first one is for paper products and extra kitchen helps like zip loc bags and foil.

And the second is more for decorative items, table cloths, and vases…all the things that I used to keep in my China cabinet but now since I no longer have one, I’ve had to get creative with where to keep these things.

They may need a few more tweaks, but I think we are off to a great start! 🥰
